Abby and her husband are avid mushroom hunters, but she will not tell you where they find them.

Abby received the Wisconsin Law Journal's prestigious 2020 Leaders in the Law Award. An article written subsequently about Abby's practice of family law can be found here: https://wislawjournal.com/2020/09/16/volberdings-career-mushrooms-into-excellence/.

Abby's feelings on practicing family law:

"There are a number of reasons I choose to practice family law. At the top of the list is the opportunity it gives me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Family law is unique in that it allows attorneys to work very closely with clients during a time in their life where they feel very little control over matters that are very near and dear to their heart. I enjoy practicing in an area of law that allows me to guide and assist clients through such a trying time in a way that makes them feel empowered again. I have a real passion for helping clients achieve their goals because it effects the most important aspects of their lives. I also care deeply about kids and sincerely want to make sure children's best interests are at the forefront of cases involving children."
